ENGINEERING
TECHNICIAN
Designs and develops complete systems schematics and electrical specifications for the manufacture and installation of BarFlo systems and integrated components. Work with our product owners and team of engineers to design, iterate, and engineer new features using the latest in available hardware and electrical components. Please have at least three years experience in electrical control system design preferably in robotics, machine-building or system integration environment. A working knowledge of AutoCad is required. Ability to keep abreast of leading-edge technology is essential. Must have ability to work with and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.

What You’ll Do

Working alongside engineers to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.

Inspecting and modifying existing designs and prototypes.

Conducting research, collecting data, and writing daily reports.
​

Using CAD software to develop designs, and implementing feedback from Engineers.
​

Running tests, diagnostics, and calibrations.
​

Fabrication and electronics assembly.
​

Conducting experiments and investigations under the guidance of Engineers.
​

Inspecting inventory and reordering materials and technical components.
​

Analyzing operations and offering suggestions for improvement.
​

Maintaining records and assisting with presentations.
​

Attending trade shows and participating in customer demonstrations.
Who You are
-
High school diploma.
​
-
Associate's degree in engineering technology or similar.
​
-
Integrates (off-the-shelf) equipment and electronic components into systems including: network and serial communications, motion control equipment, analog instrumentation, vision inspection systems, electrical and ultrasonic welding equipment and other electrically controlled systems.

Works with Systems programmers to define the best sequencing, safety, HMI and overall process into a software structure.

Strong customer service skills and time management.

Determine components and issue requisitions for purchases by analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests and evaluating results.
